Totentanz - the Dance of Death

Hugo Distler

A documentary on the 2007 multimedia performance of Hugo Distler's Totentanz (Dance of Death) by Crescendo.  Chorus, Flute, Narrators, Dancers, and a digital animation of a medieval panoramic mural merge, bringing to life a modern version of this ancient morality play.  Includes interview and an art history study of the characters.  Performance ca. 40 minutes total.
