Tribute to Wanda Landowska
2009: Landoska Anniversary Year - EVENTS
Choral concert: “A Tribute to Mendelssohn”
at
St. Mary Catholic Church in Lakeville, CT
Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 3.30pm
Crescendo Chorus and soloists, directed by Christine Gevert, offer a
preview of their concert in honor to Felix Mendelssohn on is 200th
birthday as a prelude to the 4pm Mass, which will be featured with
festive music by Crescendo chorus as well. St. Mary was Landowska's home
parish, and she was actively involved in the parish. Mendelssohn is
connected to Landowska through his revival of J.S. Bach's and Handel's
music at the beginning of the 19th century.

legacy. Reception with cocktails – meet the Crescendo board and

of tickets for the concert only will be sold for $25.
